Your Game Is Over

If there is a situation of checkmate that means your game is over and no possibilities of any move can be done after checkmate. However, during check to King you can not do castling. If you want to castle during check first take care of check without changing the position of King or the Rook and when you are out of the threat you can castle.

The goal of the game is to checkmate your adversary's king. It is natural to feel compelled to rescue your king from threat which is a part of the psychology and driving momentum of the game play. Chess rules make it mandatory to move your king when he is under threat. But if your king is unable to move to safety, however temporary it may be, your opponent has achieved checkmate and has won the game. Checkmate means a king is under attack and is also unable to move to a location that is also not under attack. It is illegal to castle under chess rules to "move a king out of check, into check, or pass through a square under control of an enemy piece." If this rule is honored, it is impossible to castle into safety when a king is under checkmate.

CASTLING OVERVIEW

One of the special moves in the game of Chess is the “Castling” move. Not only is “Castling” special in that the King is allowed to move two squares in a single move, it is the only move in Chess where two pieces of the same color are moved at the same time in a single move. Is this not a special case? The other piece involved in Castling is the Rook, either on the queen-side or on the king-side.

Not Allowed

No, castling is not allowed during checkmate because once you are in checkmate, the game is over and you have lost. Therefore at this point you cannot make any move of any kind.

During the play, if one's King is in checkmate, it is not possible to make the castling move. If we move, that may be struck out easily. The game is over. So it will be a wasted one.

Rule of Castling

Castling during early stages of game make the defence stronger. The King cannot move through check, (through a space covered by an opponent’s piece), and only if neither the castle nor the King has moved before. The most important rule one must remind while playing is King cannot castle to get out of check, or checkmate.

Castling is Tricky for Checks

Castling is tricky when it comes to checks, but checkmate means the games over, so no castling can occur. If you are not in check mate, you still cannot castle if it means your king would pass through check (one of the squares your king passes through can be attacked by the opponent's piece(s)), or be in check as a result of castling. You cannot castle to get out of check, either.
